Stephen Mulholland

Stephen Mulholland is something of a camelid expert, having kept llamas and alpacas for two decades. A background in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics has translated into writing articles on camelid health and care, letting Stephen share his expertise worldwide. Stephen also shares his animals with the communities around him, taking them to visit prisons, getting involved in street appeals, and attending local celebrations.

Each of Stephen’s llamas and alpacas is given a name based on different themes and he treats them like any other domestic pet, taking them for walks around Tawa or along the beach in Paekākāriki. Maybe you’ve seen them yourself?
