Steve Mushin is an industrial designer and visual artist working in Aotearoa New Zealand. His illustrations, design projects, exhibitions, and workshops explore interactions between human-made machines and natural ecologies.
His first book, Ultrawild: An Audacious Plan to Rewild Every City on Earth is published by Allan & Unwin. It has been described as “mind-bendingly original and […] totally unique,” and was the winner of the Elsie Locke Non-Fiction Award at the 2024 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults.
